What People Have Said

Before June 8th

“I’m really glad someone’s doing something about it”

“It’s been going on for years”

“Well I would worry about it, but by the time my kid gets up the school, you’ll have sorted it out for us”

“If I was in your position, I think I’d call the police”

“This has been going on for years”

“Don’t go anywhere, stay here, Titirangi school needs you”

“It’s been going on for years”

“Get Health and Safety onto them, that will tie them into knots for years”

“Those boys have been bullies since kindy”

Since June 8th when we ‘left’ the school

“We’ve never had any problem with any of those boys”

(from a parent whose child was pulled off her chair in the classroom by one of them on the last day she was allowed to come round - she didn’t tell.)

“The school practises ‘social inclusion’.”

(suddenly, apparently.  This phrase just keeps popping up.  There’s no mention of it in any correspondence!  Have a look and see for yourself.)

“They would only do Zero Tolerance”

(what the school has told parents about why we have ‘disappeared’.  Again, the evidence to the contrary is on this site.)

“I apologize to [R], but we have decided against further playdates with [our child].  I do hope things get smoother for you all”

from a mother in [R]'s ex-class

“I’ve made an adult decision, we will not let [our child] come round to play with [R] anymore...

mum from [R]'s ex-class

and a personal favorite, to someone whose kids have just been thrown out for being bullied, and said with emotion....

“Please don’t go to the press, I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t send my child to that school”.
